Museum Tours for students of all ages
Museum tours are available by reservation only. Tours last approximately one hour and are led by a trained Docent. Teachers will be contacted prior to the tour to ensure both the docent and the teacher have a shared objective. Teachers must provide appropriate chaperones for tour. Tours can be customized depending on the age, area of interest, etc. The museum will give the students history of flight, history of Florida aviation, many planes to see, Howard Hughes exhibits, simulators, and more.
We have a covered pavilion for groups interested in having a picnic too.

Outreach & Mentoring Program
If you are a teacher looking for someone to speak in your class or demonstrate activities in aviation and STEM curriculum, give us a call. We have trained Docents and teachers to visit schools, civic groups or youth organizations for outreach work or mentoring. Aerospace Educators Workshop
Each year during the SUN ‘n FUN International Fly-In and Expo, the annual Aerospace Educators’ Workshop is held typically on the Saturday of the 6-day event. From the moment you arrive and get your official totebag, you will be immersed in aviation and space activities to ignite learning in your classroom. After participating in hands on sessions, meeting other aerospace educators, and gaining a huge assortment of materials, enjoy a catered lunch while listening to our keynote speaker. The annual Ray Lien Award will be presented to an outstanding aerospace educator.
Choose from 15 concurrent sessions held in the Central Florida Aerospace Academy. Seats are limited. Register today. And, you could be one of four lucky teachers who flies with the AeroShell Aerobatic Team. Motivate your students to reach the sky and enjoy the atmosphere up there with them.

Homecoming to the Sky
Each year, CFAA students have an entire week dedicated to Aerospace activities at the start of their School Year.
- Freshman Flights which is a flight opportunity in a general aviation aircraft for any freshman student
- Solo to Success Ceremony which is a brick-laying ceremony recognizing any student who soloed a general aviation aircraft the prior year
- and related school activities promoting school spirit such as Field Day, etc.
Fly Into Summer
This is a free event for our community which occurs each summer. The event will feature free admission into Aerospace Discovery at Florida Air Museum as well as a bounce house and aviation themed arts and crafts. Stay tuned for the 2019 dates for Fly Into Summer.
Aerospace Discovery Day
Aerospace Discovery Day is a free event to the community each October. This event is held on the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus to introduce young men and women to the world of aviation!
