Golf Cart Distribution

Clean carts before distribution to volunteers. Help sort carts and park in depot area. Help check in and out carts following prescribed check-out/check-in procedures at depot area. Run replacement carts to various areas of Sun-n-Fun campus and retrieve broken carts.

Must be 18 years of age or older. Must posses valid U.S drivers license. Must be able to use computer to input data and perform information look-ups with easy-to-use web forms.

Any schedule (at least 4 hours per day over four days) between 8:00am and 5:00pm one week prior to, the week during, and one week after the Fly-In.

Tour Guide

Conduct tours of the Fly-In of groups of up to 50 students, teachers, and chaperones on a preset route with one other guide on foot or in a handicapped tram Tuesday through Saturday between 9:00am and noon.

Must have: Ability to walk at least two hours. Skills or knowledge in aviation or education. Interest in interacting with children.

8:00am to 2:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday, with some time overlap.

Parking Lot Hosts

Coverage for 3 auto parking areas

We are looking for a number of volunteers or civic groups to assist one or more of our Exhibitor/Media, Volunteer or Airside Auto Parking Lots. Assist withlayout and striping, vehicle pass checking, security and assisting with breakdowns.

People skills are a must, in some cases, our parking hosts will be the first person our guests/volunteers come in contact with. Must be willing to work in sunny or in-climate weather.

Schedules are dependent on the parking lot. In most cases, 9:00am to 5:00pm.

We are looking for several volunteers to assist in directing inbound campers into temporary parking lanes for registration.

Ability to see the big picture and organize a steady and smooth traffic flow. Must be able to be outside and on your feet for extended periods of time.

4 or 6 hour shifts available beginning at 8:00am. Last shift will end no later than 8:00pm. Help is needed prior to the show opening beginning on Sunday, April 3rd.

You will greet visitors at the SUN 'n FUN operations center/ administration area. You will volunteer with a team member answering questions, working on projects for admin staff, helping guests with questions and requests, managing access to corporate offices during busy fly-in days, and helping with whatever needs to be done. Being professional, flexible and friendly is a must!

A friendly smile and willingness to help answer questions. We don't always know all the answers, but we can find someone who can help. As a volunteer, you will have someone with you at the desk.

Morning shift: 8:00am-12:35pm Afternoon shift: 12:25pm-6:00pm Saturday, April 9th & Sunday, April 10th. You may choose one shift, one day, or whatever fits your schedule.

Volunteers will be working in central locations, out of the sun in the heart of SUN 'n FUN airshow. During the course of the week these volunteers will interact with our guests and help them find souvenirs to bring home to their family and loved ones. They will also have the opportunity to work as cashiers if they are so inclined.

Set up and customer service during event

We need helpers for set up for the day before the event. Able bodied persons to help hang banners and set up tables inside the LAMA tent in Paradise City. We need volunteers to help out in the tent each day as ambassadors, to answer questions and greet Sun'n'Fun show attendees when they come to the tent.

For set up: able bodied, ladder climbing to hang banners, and arrange tables and chairs. Pound stakes for feather flags and other signage. Know how to use tools and think of good ideas to make space look nice. During the Expo: friendly, knowledgeable about Light Sport and Kit built aircraft is a plus.

1/2 day schedule each day, would be good, starting on Tuesday, through the end of the show on Sunday. We are busiest in the morning and then late in the afternoon when the main airshow is over, and the light planes start to fly in the evenings. We close the tent at about 6:00 p.m. most days.

We are looking for a civic organization or group who would be willing to support this operation for a donation to participating organization. Requirements, Personnel must be able to stand for a four hour shift outdoors. Be able to make change - A "Cash Only" environment. Shelter provided to get out of the sun... water is provided. If volunteer works two or more shift a "Day of Choice" pass to the event will be provided to enjoy the show.

Coordinate the issuing, delivery, placement and pickup/removal of signs. Inventory and upkeep of large fly-in and year-round sign inventory is also necessary. Setup and placement of road signage... use of tools will be required. Take direction from and work alongside the current Sign Shop Chairman We also need year-round support in this operational area.

Organizational, computer and people skills are a must. We need someone who is not directionally challenged. Upkeep of road signage (wheeled) being able to handle and work with some tools? Heavy lifting is required in some cases.

We are looking for someone who lives locally, who may be willing to offer support in this area on a limited year-round basis. Full work days will be required during the ramp up to the SUN 'n FUN Fly-In. Year-round schedules are flexible.

Variable and Flexible (1 day/week - May-Dec, 1-2 days/week Jan-March, April TBD) To assist the Development Manager with Key Donor Stewardship activities primary: Creating donor/sponsor profiles in SUN 'n FUN's donor management software (Altru) Recording all gifts throughout the year in SUN 'n FUN's donor management software and maintaining appropriate recognition. Creating and mailing gift acknowledgment letters. Delivering donor premiums and communicating with donors about giving benefits. Coordinating donor participation in certain benefit programs (museum memberships, fly-in freebies and other event promotional items). Creating and Coordinating information for donor communication email blasts and newsletters. Assisting with Fly-In cultivation and recognition activities.

Basic computer proficiency needed along with comfort working or learning various programs. Experience in database software and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) recommended Strong customer service and communication skills (phone contract is required)
