SUN ‘n FUN Sprint 40 Registration
2017 Sun 40 Sprints
The SUN ‘n FUN Sun 40 Sprint is back for the fifth year, and will be staged as a fun contest of speed and precise navigation on Wednesday April 5th, 10am. The short 40 NM time trial will be staged during the daily Showcase segment. A pilot briefing will be held 3pm on Tuesday April 4th in the Showcase Briefing building near the Antique HQ building.
Specific classes will be determined by participation. This year’s event will be limited to aircraft capable of 120 KIAS or more cruising speed due to time constraints. These constraints limit the number of entries as well.
Pre-registration is required with a $30.00 non-refundable fee. This fee allows registrants to purchase one weekly wristband voucher at a discounted rate of $85. An awards dinner will be held Wednesday evening and tickets may be purchased for $15 each at the time of registration purchase. You may buy as many dinner tickets as needed. See the Registration Page
To purchase this discounted ticket, you must taxi your aircraft to the SUN 40 Sprint aircraft parking area (located in the northwest corner of the Homebuilt Parking area). Discounted tickets are available at the Homebuilt registration building only. Please print this “RACE” aircraft sign to assist ground personnel with your destination.
An awards dinner will be held Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm. Dinner tickets may be purchased for $15 each when making your event registration purchase. If you choose to purchase additional dinner tickets at a later date, click here.
